On 24 November 2014, the European Commission organised a conference on the development of GHG standards in energy-intensive industries.

The objective of the conference was to create a European forum to present and discuss the results of CEN standardization work on GHG emissions in five energy-intensive industries: steel and iron, cement, aluminum, lime and ferroalloy production, in the context of EU climate and industrial policies.

The lime sector was represented by Martyn Kenny (Sustainability Director at Lafarge Tarmac) and Julien Coubronne (Environmental and industrial affairs adviser, EuLA), and took part to the panel. The presentations from the other stakeholders are available online, as well as the recording of the webstream of the conference.
