Nievelt Labor Gmbh (2010): Project report on the comparative evaluation of asphalt layer characteristics with and without hydrated lime modification

The study investigates the impact of hydrated lime (HL) in asphalt mixtures on the B62 road in Lackendorf, Austria. Results indicate that sections with hydrated lime exhibit superior durability, reduced cracking, and enhanced resistance to environmental stressors compared to those without. The findings reinforce the benefits of incorporating hydrated lime for extending road lifespan and improving maintenance efficiency.
